FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the Inspiration Walk?
The Inspiration Walk is a walk that brings awareness and raises necessary funds for Special Olympics Maryland Baltimore County.

The Inspiration Walk was started by Special Olympics Maryland Howard County seven years ago. It was agreed upon, by all Maryland counties with Special Olympic programs, that we would all organize a separate Inspiration Walk for our counties. All Special Olympic programs, through out the state, are primarily responsible for raising the funds to support their local county programs. The funds raised during the Inspiration Walk makes it possible for all county programs to continue to operate. Donations are used to pay for equipment, storage fees, postage, uniforms, practice facility fees, and other neccesary program expenditures.  All members of the Special Olympics Maryland Baltimore County Management Team are volunteers so no salaries are paid with the money that is raised, it all goes towards the athletes and programs.
